Wellbeing

Wellbeing, Safety & Care

Everything we do at Banum Warrik Primary School is underpinned by wellbeing approaches that develop strong, trusting, nurturing and non-judgemental relationships. We make sure we act with kindness and care to ensure the emotional and physical safety of everyone in our school community.

By developing strong, trusting, nurturing and non-judgemental relationships we develop respect for self and others. We are more resilient because we know we have people around us we can rely on for support when things get tough. We can act with integrity by being truthful, honest and doing the right thing, and we can act with authenticity…because those people who we have strong, trusting, nurturing and non-judgemental relationships with…value us…for who we are.

Model of Inclusion

Our Model of Inclusion supports student learning and wellbeing through three Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Our Tier 1 supports are universal practices for all students, with learning and wellbeing approaches embedded with fidelity across all year levels. Tier 2 supports are targeted and help students with additional learning and wellbeing needs, while tier 3, support students with specific and targeted 1:1 interventions.

Values & Expected Behaviours

Our values have strong meaning and symbolism with our school. We want everyone in our school community to understand the purpose of our values.
